GATE Cut off:  For admission to ME/MTech courses in IITs, NITs and other participating colleges, candidates must clear the defined cut off. The merit list is prepared separately for each institute after the declaration of results.The qualifying cutoff of GATE will be subject-specific, meaning the cutoffs will be different for different subjects.

Ans. GATE qualifying Cutoff is determined by the conducting body, GATE 2018 is being conducted by IIT Guwahati, therefore, they will release the cut off for GATE 2018.

Ans. GATE cutoff is the minimum score which candidates need to qualify GATE.

Ques. I have qualified for GATE 2018, Will I be able to get admission in IIT Bombay?

Ans. No, clearing the cut off score to qualify for GATE 2018 doesn’t guarantee you admission into any of the participating institutions. To get admission into the institute you will need to clear the cut off set by those institutions and appear for their selection process.

Ques. What is the cutoff for the different participating institutes/branches of GATE 2018?

Ans. GATE 2018 cutoff for every branch will be released along with the declaration of the result while cut off for the institutes will be released by each institute independently.
